Flexible Work and Health

Our guest speaker for this webinar was Dr Ginny Sargent from the ANU Research School of Population Health, PHXchange.

This session explores what flexible work means for our health, and that of workers in different forms of employment – noting that flexible work has become a reality, this year more than ever before.

Ginny provides an outline of findings from research conducted in the ACT on:

  • getting the most out of workplace health promotion
  • flexible work, and how it can negatively impact health.

Ginny then discusses how these learnings can be applied in our workplaces to mitigate negative, and harness positive effects of flexible work on staff and their families.

Following the webinar, Ginny kindly prepared responses to some questions we didn’t have time to answer during the webinar – available here.

Please note that we encountered some technical issues at the beginning of this webinar. The recording below starts at the beginning of Ginny’s presentation, skipping our housekeeping and the technical issue pause.
